Three Local Chambers Offer “TRIPLE PLAY”
Published on Monday, April 23, 2007
As part of a new member drive, three local Chambers, the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce, and Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, currently serving 2,050 business members in the region, have partnered to create a new plan for strengthening the impact of their membership.
The “Triple Play” program will in essence allow businesses to join two of the partnering Chambers and get the third one for Free. The program was developed in response to members’ requests. “We often heard from our membership that they wanted to belong to more than just one local chamber, but found it to be cost prohibitive,” said Marie Oliva, President & CEO of the Canal Region Chamber. “This program responds to that concern.”
The “Triple Play” program will allow businesses to triple their exposure, marketing, and training opportunities, while growing their customer base. The new venture is part of an economic development strategy to provide more impact for businesses through local Chamber membership.
“By joining forces, we can offer our members a broader perspective on the challenges and opportunities found in the Cape Cod marketplace,” said Christine Ross, President and CEO of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce. “Through networking and establishing a consortium of benefits, our individual resources are magnified.”
Examples of magnified marketing opportunities will be seen in the collaboration’s regional reach. Local businesses will get exposure from Wareham to Hyannis, with brochures in six (6) Information Centers located in Hyannis, Falmouth, Sagamore, Sandwich, Buzzards Bay, and Wareham. In aggregate, those locations attract and provide referrals to over 200,000 visitors annually. Moreover, each member will obtain listings in 3 Annual Guidebooks and Member Directories for a combined distribution of 310,000 copies, visibility via links on three highly visited websites with more than 922,000 combined unique visitor hits per year, and year-round business referrals from the trained staff of three Chamber offices and visitor centers.
This combined effort will create a more dynamic and revenue enhancing approach towards attracting visitors and retaining businesses in the region. Monica Parker, President & CEO, of the Hyannis Area Chamber put it simply. “We are greater than the sum of our parts.”
