HACC Announces New President/CEO

The Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Deborah Converse has been named as the organizations new President and CEO. “Deborah has the leadership qualities to represent our members firmly and diplomatically, bringing our local economy and our community to higher levels through the strategic plan of the Board of Directors.” said Skip Simpson Chairman of the Board.
Deborah Converse has her undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of New York at Potsdam and her Masters Degree in Business Management from Lesley College. Most recently she has worked for the March of Dimes as the Division Director for Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape & Islands. She served as the Resource Development Director and in various other capacities at the Housing Assistance Corporation for more than 20 years.
Deborah Converse is a member of the Board of Directors for the Centerville Historic Museum and Chair of the Barnstable Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.

An active Chamber of Commerce strengthens the community’s sustainability.” said Deborah Converse.
Deborah Converse will begin her transition in the middle of March.
Rick Angelini is serving as interim President and CEO. Angelini had previously served on the board of directors, many committees and he was also a past Chairman of the Board. It has been an effective, unique opportunity for the Chamber to have Rick’s experience and dedication as interim CEO.
The professional and dedicated search committee, led by attorney John Kenney, consisted of a blend of HACC board members and other members of the community who screened through over 60 resumes before nominating Deborah. Both the search committee’s and the Board of Directors’ vote in support of her nomination were unanimous.
The purpose of the Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce is to be the premier force in fostering, enhancing and promoting a healthy business climate in the greater Hyannis area and the Town of Barnstable.
